Curse of The Hat Man: Compatible with the Mothership Sci-fi Horror RPG

Curse of the Hat Man is a spooky 40-page shore leave adventure. Your group has traveled by caravan across the Endo Placia desert as you approach Lionel's Caravanserai. Your guide assures you you are in for a treat for two reasons: It's one of the nicest stops with one of the nicest owners. What's more, the planet's moon's annual alignment will be visible tonight.

When night falls, however, a strange figure in a hat and trench-coat begins haunting the halls, producing terrifying living nightmares, and killing staff and guests. Can you survive the night? What is going on beneath the surface of the caravanserai? What is the truth behind The Curse of The Hat Man?

What's in this Module?

  • A terrifying entity, the Hat Man, his collaborators, and the mystery surrounding them.
  • Haunting encounters that escalate as time passes.
  • Three floors to explore, investigate, and get frightened in.
  • 6 detailed NPCs with their own motivations and reactions.

What are people saying?

"A whole new level of mystery solving is needed to escape the terrifying near-immortal Hat Man. I'm a sucker for adventures with overpowered enemies that require wit and teamwork to conquer. The timekeeping is clean, the area is expansive, and the adventure is deadly. Godspeed." - Marco Serrano (SpicyTuna RPG, Knights of Lazarus)

"The Curse of The Hat Man makes you feel like you are in the middle of a supernatural slasher movie. Well thought out and detailed characters, an immaculately designed resort full of secrets and mystery, and a truly terrifying supernatural villain all help make The Curse of The Hat Man come to life. Tim Obermueller does a great job crafting a tight, thrilling adventure that builds to a heart-pumping conclusion. The Hat Man Cometh, be afraid." - Scott Garriott - Molgannard Press (The Ship Who Swallowed a Spider, Corporate Survival)

“Curse of the Hat Man has a delightful, sinister energy. The monsters including BATHAWK are good clean fun, there’s a good mix of interesting NPCs with their own clear agendas, and the adventure has a natural pace to it driving toward the dangerous conclusion. The Stages and Manifestations give the Warden tools to keep the adventure dynamic and the pace up.” - Amanda P. (Tannic, Pilgrimage of the Sun Guard)
