Big Corn: A Dungeon23 project for Liminal Horror

I’m doing #dungeon23 with an idea that’s been knocking around my head for a while, Big Corn! An American Midwest small town has trapped itself in a pocket dimension and various factions have various feelings about this.

Current factions are:

• Big Corn- have BIG CORN-RELATED plans for the town.
• Soy Beans- Actually the most powerful faction because Big Corn needs them but doesn’t feel the need to throw their weight around all the time like Big Corn.
• Nuke Heads- Desperately trying to keep the town’s nuclear power plant running while also squirreling enough uranium away to create a blast large enough to open a door out of the dimension. Will this work? Definitely maybe. (No)

• Dr. Teloutel & the Seers- An optometrist and a group of aliens she has accidentally become the ward of after they became trapped in the pocket dimension. The Seers are first and foremost trying to not starve to death, they “eat” electromagnetic spectrum waves by seeing them and are missing gamma rays. Much like Vitamin C, you can live a long time without it but you *will* die if you don’t get it eventually. Good thing there’s a nuclear power plant close by.
• The Weed Dealers- A cabal of growers and dealers of marijuana. Just want their product to be legalized. Big Corn does not want this because they feel farmers would stop growing corn and only grow weed. Big Corn is not too far off the mark.
